The vehicular passage that leads to the grounds of the Jardín Colinas de Carrizal park, a green lung in the heart of the mountains of the Carrizal municipality in Miranda state, was closed.

The closure of the road to the park, located on El Lago avenue in the Colinas de Carrizal sector, was made after the request of the residents who denounced the environmental contamination before the Mayor’s Office of the Carrizal municipality.

Wilfredo Armas, president of the Corporation of Public Services in Carrizal (Servicarrizal), confirmed that the road crossing to the Colinas de Carrizal park occurred after a complaint from residents, passers-by and users who assured that this space was being used for unload debris, organic materials and garbage in general, among others.

The official explained that, according to the data provided, vehicles traveled through the area or were parked at night, which affected the security of the area, so they proceeded to clean up and close the vehicle access roads. individuals to the park.

He clarified that due to security measures, motivated by the proximity of the Carrizal ravine, only heavy machines will be able to pass when any contingency occurs in the town.

Armas called on residents to become aware and avoid throwing waste in the area.

The Colinas de Carrizal Foundation reported on its Instagram social network that the measure is provisional to limit vehicular access. “Soon we will hope to implement a more consistent, practical and safe system in these accesses.”

Since 2017, this foundation has been developing arborization, protection and ecological conservation days in this important park; young people do sports, recreation and their areas also serve for the free recreation of the families of Colinas, Montaña Alta, among other sectors.
