ThIn Milagamu, the rural local body elections for the 9 reorganized new districts were held in October 2021. In that election, the post of Tholapalli Panchayat Council President under the Vellore District Dam Union was allotted to the Scheduled Castes. A woman named Kalpana Suresh, who contested for the post in auto symbol, won by getting 609 votes and took over as the president of the panchayat.
In this situation, there was a complaint that Kalpana Suresh belongs to the alternative community and has won by attaching a fake caste certificate as ‘Adi Dravidian’ in the election nomination. In this regard, Pakyaraj from Tholapalli panchayat who contested against Kalpana Suresh also reported to Vellore District Collector Kumaravelpandian. He had also approached the High Court.
