Vendée: death of a 25-year-old woman during a sea trip

They were on board a semi-rigid boat. A wave swept away the three occupants of a small pleasure boat on Saturday afternoon near the island of Yeu (Vendée).

A breaking wave surprised the crew around 2 p.m., writes France Bleu. A 25-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man fell overboard. The third passenger, a 36-year-old man, immediately raised the alarm.

On the spot, the SNSM rescuers recovered the body of the young woman, while her brother, a 35-year-old man was transported to the hospital in La Roche-sur-Yon in a state of hypothermia, specifies France 3 .

According to the Vendée firefighters, his condition was still critical on Saturday evening.
