Treviso cinephiles, rejoice! March brings a return to the magic of the huge screen with “I Martedì al Cinema,” an initiative offering film screenings for just 4 euros every Tuesday throughout the month. From March 3rd to March 31st, a curated selection of films will be shown across multiple venues in and around Treviso, providing an affordable opportunity to experience both new releases and acclaimed works.
The project, a longstanding collaboration between the Regione Veneto, the Federazione Italiana Cinema d’Essai (FICE) delle Tre Venezie, and the Unione Interregionale Triveneta AGIS, aims to support local cinemas and encourage a wider appreciation for quality cinema. It’s a chance to revisit films that may have flown under the radar or to discover hidden gems alongside fellow movie lovers. The initiative underscores the importance of cinema as a cultural hub and a shared experience, particularly in a landscape increasingly dominated by streaming services.
What’s on Screen in Treviso and Beyond
The Multisala Edera in Treviso kicks off the 2026 edition with a compelling double feature. Audiences can catch Nicolangelo Gelormini’s “La Gioia,” starring Valeria Golino, at 15:00, 17:30, and 19:40. The film was presented at the Venice Film Festival. Following that, at 21:20, Olivier Assayas’s “Il Mago del Cremlino – Le origini di Putin,” featuring Jude Law as the Russian president, will be screened – another title that garnered attention at the Venice Film Festival. The Regione Veneto details the initiative and participating cinemas.
Venturing outside the city center, the Multisala Hesperia in Castelfranco Veneto will showcase Paolo Sorrentino’s “La grazia” at 18:00 and 21:00, starring a lauded Toni Servillo, who won the Coppa Volpi for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival. Cinema Italia in Montebelluna boasts the most extensive program, with four films to choose from. Cristian Mungiu’s “Animali Selvatici” begins the lineup at 17:30, followed by “Il Mago del Cremlino – Le origini di Putin” at 18:20, Antonio Albanese’s “Lavoreremo da grandi” with Giuseppe Battiston at 19:45, and finally, Gabriele Muccino’s “Le cose non dette,” starring Stefano Accorsi and Miriam Leone, at 21:35.
Further afield, the Cinema Cristallo in Oderzo offers “La mia amica Eva” by Cesc Gay, a Spanish film from last year, at 20:30. Gabriele Muccino’s “Le cose non dette” also appears on the schedules of the Multisala Manzoni in Paese (19:00 and 21:15), the Multisala Cinergia in Conegliano (18:15 and 20:45), and the Multisala Verdi in Vittorio Veneto (16:45, 19:20, and 21:30). The Multisala Verdi will also screen “Il Mago del Cremlino – Le origini di Putin” (France, 2025) by Olivier Assayas at 16:45 and 19:45.
