Victoria Monét is proving she’s a multi-talented force while fans await her next album,and on Friday night,January 2,she shared a delightful surprise: a salsa dancing video with Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown. The unexpected collaboration quickly gained attention online.

The clip, taken from Brown’s Twitch stream, features Monét, radiant in a little black dress, gracefully moving to the rhythm of Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe’s “Todo Tiene Su Final.” Brown skillfully guided her through an outside turn, followed by a fast spin of his own.

“Oh!” Monét exclaimed, reacting to Brown’s move. “Come on!” Brown playfully responded, “I’m done.” Hours later, the Grammy-winning musician took to her Instagram Stories to share her enjoyment, writing, “That was so fun! [Jaylen Brown], thank you for having me. [Raul Santiago],you are such an excellent teacher. Tysmmm.”

Anyone familiar with Monét’s captivating live performances knows she’s a natural dancer. Though,many commenters on Brown’s post expressed surprise at seeing the NBA star attempt salsa. “This is so random, but I love it,” one user wrote.

Another commenter noted, “Mind you… this [is] the same man averaging 30 pts per game.” The post quickly filled with requests for the duo to compete on “Dancing with the Stars,” and one fan praised Monét’s versatility: “How is she just so talented at everything? Love her!”

Earlier that Friday, Monét discussed her passion for performance in an interview with REVOLT. The JAGUAR II singer explained, “I do value performance in general, so I’m always an advocate for artists who dance and artists who put on a spectacle in their performances.”

She added, “But I also have respect for artists who will just sit there and sing and let their voice captivate them, and I think that’s a sole tradition of Black people as well.”
