Skiing in the middle of August in Paris will soon be possible! On the occasion of CES 2024 in Las Vegas, the largest technological innovation show, the young Norman company “Skwheel” presented its brand new product: all-terrain electric skis. Sand, asphalt, forest or gravel… The “skwheel ones” are supposed to reproduce the sensations of skiing on any type of surface. Something to delight snow sports fans.
A top speed of 80 km/h, four speed modes, 30 km of autonomy at 25 km/h (to which the skis are limited), removable batteries… These skis are controllable thanks to a controller which even transforms into retractable handle for easy transportation around town.
Currently, a crowdfunding campaign is underway on Indiegogo, during which skis can be pre-ordered for 1,600 euros. A sum which will rise to 2,200 euros from June 2024, the official date of the product launch.
