Impressive flames. A fire broke out on Place de la Nation on Monday, where the end of the course of the May 1 demonstration was planned. The flames reached a building that seemed to be under construction but also a self-service bicycle terminal, causing a thick cloud of black smoke.

The police intervened to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. A police water truck was used to try to douse the flames. The fire also required the intervention of firefighters before it could be brought under control.
