Forward Radek Faksa led Dallas’ 5-0 win over Edmonton with a goal and two assists. The Stars won for the eighth time in a row and maintained their lead at the top of the Western Conference.
Faksa played the best game of the season against Edmonton. For the first time in the year, he collected more than one point in one game and significantly contributed to the extension of the currently longest winning streak in the league.
The Czech striker, whose main contribution to the team is usually in the defensive zone, opened the score of the match in the third minute. After a quick renumbering of three to two, he found himself alone in front of the goalkeeper and scored his seventh goal of the season.
“When you score a goal in the first substitution, it always gives you a boost. In the rest of the match, you play much better,” Faksa, who was named the second star of the match, told reporters.

Jake Oettinger picked up the second clean sheet in a row. The 25-year-old American blocked all 35 shots of the Oilers, and the journalists declared him the best player of the match.
“We played against an excellent team, but we did a great job in the match. The guys played well in defense and didn’t let the opponent into anything. We knew what the Oilers are good at and we were able to eliminate it,” praised the performance of the entire team Oettinger, who did not concede for more than 150 minutes.
