VIDEO: Train hits driver in Zapopan; tried to gain the pass

A woman driver tried to outrun a train, but he ended up attacking her and dragging her for several meters in Zapopan.

This event occurred on the afternoon of April 22 at the intersection of tracks and the road that goes to University Center of Biological and Agricultural Sciences (CUCBA) located in the municipality of Zapopan, in the state of Jalisco.

A video of the exact moment in which the accident occurred was spread through social networks.

In the images – captured by the cell phones of other motorists – the driver of a brand gray truck can be seen. Chevrolet, model Trax who tries to outrun the locomotive that did not stop its march.

However, the train hit the vehicle and dragged it for several meters until the truck overturned with the driver inside.

After being dragged for more than 150 meters and overturning, the truck fell into a canal that is on the side of the tracks that run along one side of the highway to Nogales.

After the incident, elements of Zapopan Civil Protection and of the National Guard who helped in the rescue of the 32-year-old woman.

Paramedics also arrived to transport the driver who suffered injuries and blows from the impact and rollover.

The crossing was cordoned off by members of the National Guard, but traffic was affected for several hours due to the debris removal work.
