On Thursday, February 1, 2024, a new Day without Cars and Motorcycles will be held in Bogotá with the purpose of promoting mobilization in Sustainable modes of transport such as: walking, cycling and public transport.
The Day without a car and without a motorcycle is developed to contribute to the carbon footprint reduction produced by fossil fuels, reduce vehicular traffic and travel times.
Keep in mind!
1. The day will take place between 5:00 in the morning and 9:00 at night.
2. The entire integrated public transportation system in Bogotá will be available from 4:00 in the morning until 11:00 at night.
3. If you opt for the bike you have the 630 km of usual cycle paths but you will also have 101 km of cycle paths that will operate between 6:00 in the morning and 8:00 at night and if you do not have your own bike you can use one of the 3,300 bicycles that are part of the Bogotá Bicycle Sharing System.
4. More than 37,000 taxis providing service to all citizens.
Remember that the excepted vehicles are electric cars, vehicles driven by people with disabilities, school routes and surveillance or courier motorcycles, among others.
