Last Nov. On the 4th of Deepavali, it was reported that 3 persons from the Pappanayakkanpalayam area in Coimbatore had consumed Vidya Vidya liquor to celebrate Deepavali, in which Sakthivel, Parthiban and Muruganantham were killed. The three men, who had been drinking all night, reportedly bought and drank again in the morning on the block of the Tasmac store. Following that, the trio fell unconscious on the road and died on the way to the hospital.
Police are investigating the series of deaths. It has been revealed that all three of them were poisoned while they were presumed dead due to continuous alcohol consumption. Their autopsy report revealed that the alcohol contained cyanide. Police have arrested a man named Rajasekar in this connection and are investigating. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the killings were due to hostility.
