Parag Chadha, the film’s casting director, has publicly stated that Bhatt has not paid his professional fees. Following Chadha’s disclosure, multiple actors and crew members connected to the project have also come forward alleging they are owed money.

Chadha told reporters that 100 percent of his fees remain outstanding despite numerous attempts to collect over the years. “100% of my fees is pending,” he said, explaining he had previously hesitated to speak out due to concerns about his career.

According to Chadha, the production team acknowledged the debt but did not settle it. “I have email confirmations acknowledging my dues. Despite that, no payment was made,” he stated. He now believes the money is unrecoverable. “I’ve written this money off as bad debt. Speaking out is not about recovering it, it’s about awareness.”

After Chadha’s allegations surfaced, other cast and crew members of 1920: Horrors of the Heart also claimed they hadn’t received full payment. Some reports indicate that vendors and debutant actors were similarly affected, despite the film reportedly earning Rs 17–18 crore at the box office.

As of this writing, neither Vikram Bhatt nor his representatives have publicly responded to the allegations.

This development adds to the legal challenges facing the filmmaker, who remains in custody as the investigation into the fraud case continues.
