Citizens of 82 Countries Can Enter UAE Without Prior Visa

Abu Dhabi: In a recent report, it has been announced that citizens of 82 countries will no longer require a prior visa to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This move is expected to boost tourism and make travel to the UAE more convenient for residents of these countries.

There are two types of visas available for travelers visiting the UAE. The first one is the entry visa for 30 days, which can be extended for up to ten additional days. The second is a 90-day visa, providing visitors with a longer stay in the country.

Furthermore, citizens from GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries can enter the UAE by using their passport or identity card, without the need for a visa or sponsor.

Indian passport holders, on the other hand, can obtain a 14-day entry visa upon arrival in the UAE. It is also possible for them to apply for a visa extension for an additional 14 days.

However, all passengers, regardless of their nationality, must possess a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival. According to the report, travelers must also have a visiting visa or permanent residency card issued by the US, UK, or any European country.

UAE sources have clarified that an entry permit issued by a sponsor is essential for visitors who do not have a prior visa and are not eligible for visa-free entry. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs is responsible for issuing these entry visas, which are granted based on the purpose of the visit to the UAE.

According to the Ministry, citizens of 115 countries are still required to have a visa to enter the UAE. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged those planning a trip to the UAE to carefully check the revised visa rules. Detailed information about the visa requirements can be found on the official website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship. Additionally, airlines can also provide the latest information regarding visa requirements.

This change in visa regulations is expected to attract more tourists from these 82 countries, promoting tourism and fostering economic growth in the UAE.
