On the evening of Saturday April 27, 2024, the visually impaired musician, arranger and sound engineer, Seylan Kutchi, benefited from a complete recording studio. It is a donation from Mohamed Ibn Abdallah Oularé, head of the Benedi Record structure, in collaboration with the artist of the Degg J Force 3 Group, Moussa Mbaye. Composed of two monitors, a microphone, a piano but also the computer, the official delivery of this equipment took place at the Espace Guinée Créative.

In front of Seyland Kutchi’s parents, his children, the donor returned to his historical links with the artist. “When he was young and we were younger than him, we came to see him. Seyland Kutchi was the only person who made us a complete piece for 50,000 GNF, the more expensive it is 100,000 GNF (…), and even if you had 10,000 GNF, he would make the piece for you without any problem. Since the days of Degg J Force 3, it started when we sang “I Want Your Love”. When we started Beni Compilation, everyone could come and see him without money and he would do us a favor. It is therefore important to give back to those who helped you. We are not ungrateful, but we were waiting for the moments…” confided Benedi Record.

The beneficiary, accompanied by his family, expressed his gratitude to Guinea and the donors for this generous gesture.

“I would first like to thank Guinea. And I am happy because those, who recognized me today from there until today, are Guineans as I am Guinean. So I thank Guinea. And I thank Béni and Moussa (…) This gesture will allow me to start a project that is close to my heart. My team and I plan to train blind artists in the music profession…” suggested Seyland Kutchi.

Beyond this studio offered free of charge, Benedi Record and Moussa M’baye have promised other latest generation equipment to the artist Seyland Kutchi, who says he is ready to resume his role in the recording of musical works, to share his expertise with the next generation of Guinean artists, but above all teaching the visually impaired, like him, music.
