The practice of asking neighboring villages for equipment for years will no longer be used in the Artabyunk community of Vayots Dzor marz. Viva-MTS and the Wildlife and Cultural Heritage Foundation (FPWC), under the “Ecovillage Network” project, solved the problem of the village. In Artabuynik, they are sure that they will not lose the result of months of hard work. The factory-made “Belarus” tractor and the “Tukan-1600” harrow, donated to the community, will appear on everyone’s plots in a coordinated schedule.

Despite the dire need, the residents of Artabuynk did not have a tractor. In order to use the support of the neighboring villages, they had to adapt to the loss of time and the need to incur additional costs. Now they are sure that the mowed grass will not stay in the sun for too long, nor will it be blown away by the wind. They are ready to support each other and work.

“There is a desire to live in the countryside, but the existing problems sometimes cause people to choose to work in a foreign country. In order to prevent all that, it is also very important to reach out and support the peasant. For years, we have had serious problems during harvest. It can be said with confidence. that our worries will be eased,” said the administrative head Armen Sedrakyan.

The partner organizations, Viva-MTS and the Foundation for Conservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values (FPWC), strive to provide conditions to contribute to the development of regions. There is the confidence that by providing means of subsistence and minimal living conditions, it will be possible to contribute to the development of rural communities.

“Being a farmer is a difficult but honorable job. A working man knows well the value of land. Our goal is to support people doing this responsible work in remote villages. We try to implement various programs within our capabilities. We are sure that this support is as important as infrastructure development in remote regions. From now on, you will have the opportunity to organize your daily work more efficiently and get the most out of it. Stay connected to your village with strong threads and build it every day with your work,” Viva-MTS General Director Ralph Yirikyan said during the video call.

Agricultural works are in progress in Artabuyn. The equipment that came to the farmer’s aid is not only new, but also easy to manage in terms of operation.
