Volleyball teaches sportsmanship and collectivism – this was demonstrated by young volleyball players from four capital clubs who took part in the “One more day for volleyball” tournament, organized by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation on the occasion of High School Day (February 29). The competition is part of the European Volleyball Confederation’s (CEV) #1DayMore4Volleyball campaign, which aims to popularize the beloved sport and show that it is accessible to everyone.

For seven hours, six Bulgarian teams showed skills and great desire in the capital’s “Hristo Botev” hall. The competition was for girls and boys under 14 years of age. The regulation included three teams in each gender. They played on a one-on-one basis. The matches were held in two games, each won carrying 1 point.

Levski Sofia, CSKA, CPVK and Academic Volley took part in the tournament. Their talents jumped into the challenge with much gusto and euphoria, making for many contested encounters. And the coaches got another opportunity to test their graduates in a competitive setting.

The most impressive thing was the support that the young players gave each other in every single match. The tournament “Another day for volleyball” was filled with positive emotions, volleyball merits and in a very friendly atmosphere.
