The rental of “Batman” the day before the premiere was canceled by the film studio Warner Bros in Russia. The decision is related to the situation in Ukraine. This is reported by Deadline, citing a statement from the company.

“In light of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, WarnerMedia is suspending the release of its feature film Batman in Russia. We will continue to monitor the development of the situation. We look forward to a speedy and peaceful resolution to this tragedy,” the company said in a statement.

Earlier, Disney became the first major Hollywood studio to suspend its releases in the Russian box office in response to the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

The Walt Disney Co Studios have indicated that due to the military action and the humanitarian crisis, they are suspending the release of films in Russia, including the upcoming Pixar’s I’m Blushing.
