The United States warned Iran against possible attacks on American military installations in the Middle East.
As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, this was stated by the US Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Robert Wood in connection with the Israeli Air Force strike on the building of the consular department of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, which killed 13 people.
“We will not hesitate to protect our troops and reiterate our previous warnings to Iran and its proxies not to take advantage of the situation to resume attacks on US troops,” Reuters quoted Wood as saying.
At the same time, according to agency sources, the United States has no information that Shiite groups in the Middle East, which Washington associates with Tehran, may begin to attack American military personnel and military installations in Iraq and Syria. At the same time, American officials are closely monitoring whether pro-Iranian forces will carry out such attacks.
