16th loss in a row to Washington, and especially sad. Danny Avdia and his friends already led by 21 at home tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) against Orlando, but collapsed in the second half, losing 119:109 and falling back to the bottom of the East with a 53:9 record. Avdia recorded 14 points (6 of 13 from the field, 1 of 4 from three, 1 of 2 from the penalty), 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a plus-minus index of -12 in 36 minutes.

It looked like the Wizards were finally on their way to their first win since January 30 (and first at Capital One Arena since December 30) when they led 31:52 before midway through the second quarter, but then came the famous and familiar collapse. The Magic offset to 65:53 at the break, exploded with a 44:66 second half and thanks to a clutch knockout left the capital of the United States with a fifth consecutive victory (10 in 12 games) and rose to a 26:37 balance in fourth place in the East.

From Avdia’s personal point of view – he is having trouble returning to the best form of his career from before the All-Star break. Until a few weeks ago, the Israeli scored 20+ points in 5 out of 6 games, including the famous 43-point game in New Orleans, but since then he finished with 5, 15, 14, 16 and 14 points, and in none of these appearances did he score more than -50% of the field. In the first half against Orlando he had 9 points, but like the rest of the team, the forward did not keep up later in the evening.
