by time news

At the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery, Hillel Weigal Yaniv 14, residents of the settlement of Har Bracha, who were murdered in the shooting attack carried out yesterday on Havara Road, were laid to rest. The funeral march left their settlement, and along Highway 60 they were accompanied by thousands of residents of Samaria and Binyamin holding Israeli flags.

Thousands filled the cemetery square, including family members, ministers, Knesset members, students of the Hesder yeshiva where the two studied, members of Hillel’s service and many more.

The Rabbi of the Hesder Yeshiva Association, Uri Pinsky said: “The whole nation of Israel gathered to pay their last respects to these two holy angels, Yigal and Hillel Yaniv. They were members of the Seder yeshiva, with faith and values, always first for any task. They stood out in their Torah, in their sweetness, in their honesty, in their love of Israel. We all mourn together with the family and send a big hug to strengthen them in these unbearably difficult moments”

Route 60 is wrapped in Israeli flags: the funeral procession left Mount Bracha

Hillel is a soldier on the Hesder track while his brother Yigal is on the Hesder track but before enlistment. In an unusual move, the IDF approved burying the two brothers side by side in the military plot, and therefore the funeral date was also moved. Instead of the eulogies at Mount Bracha, a military funeral will be held at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, starting at 2:00 p.m.
