Water found on a planet near the solar system

Astrophysicists from the US and UK have concluded that the atmosphere of exoplanet GJ 486 b contains water.

GJ 486 b is located in the constellation Virgo at a distance of 26 light years from Earth, which is quite close by space standards.

Water vapor suggests that the planet retains an air shell, although it is close to its star and its surface is hot up to 430 degrees Celsius.

According to astrophysicists, GJ 486 b is unlikely to be a habitable planet, and the air envelope in it can be replenished due to volcanic activity.
