The Deputy Prime Minister presented the support programs launched by this government before, inquired whether there were those left out of them or not, then he also spoke about the long-term plans of the government in the near future, emphasizing that the issue of providing housing will be the priority in those plans.
“In the near future, we will formulate our final approach to the issues of the housing security program. I think that by the end of February, we will let you know how this should happen. It is very important that most of the families have already found a place to live temporarily. We hope that the conditions that will be offered in the government support programs in the near future will contain significantly greater opportunities for you, both in terms of small agricultural activities in the area adjacent to the apartment, and in terms of other conditions. One thing is clear: every family should be able to have their own house in Armenia,” said Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.
In the second part of the meeting, there was a question-and-answer session, during which the forcibly displaced persons addressed to the officials all their concerns, which mainly related to technical problems related to the use of support programs, inaccuracies in documents, as well as receiving pensions and benefits.
Summarizing the meeting, RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to try to get proposals from the attendees regarding the upcoming steps of the government.
“One thing is clear: we are ready to do everything to create sufficient conditions for you to stay and live in Armenia. We want to make a decision as a result of our discussions, which will really give results, and after these difficult trials, you will come out and be able to continue your life, lifestyle, or work in the directions you prefer in more comfortable conditions”, concluded Gnel Sanosyan.
