New Delhi: A group comprising of Tamil Nadu Law Minister S. Raghupathi, DMK Parliamentary Committee President DR Balu, DMK MPs Wilson and NR Ilango met President Drabupathi Murmu regarding the events that took place when the Governor addressed the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
Later, DMK Parliamentary Committee Chairman DR Balu said, “We met the President of the Republic. Tamil Nadu Law Minister Raghupathi gave him a letter written by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin. On the 9th of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Governor R. We explained about N. Ravi’s behavior,” he said.
Sanatnam is not accepted in Dravidian country: In response to various questions raised to DR Balu in a press conference, he said, “The Governor of Tamil Nadu has acted in violation of the tradition of the Legislative Assembly. We have brought up his actions to the President. The action of the Governor is an act of insult to all the people. Moreover, the Governor stood up before the National Anthem was played. This is what we took up with the President.
The Chief Minister’s letter clearly describes the events of the day. The President will take a decision after reading it. We cannot predict what he will decide. The Governor is appointed by the Home Office and the President. So it is impossible to answer all the speculation based questions you raise about how to get justice. There are some twists and turns in politics. Accordingly any decision should be taken carefully. So, we don’t know what the President’s decision will be. However, we have been talking about his omission of some passages from the Governor’s speech and his boycott of the National Anthem.
If the Governor of Tamil Nadu continues to act like this, he has an intention to establish Sanatana policy in Tamil Nadu. But Tamil Nadu is a Dravidian country. Background of the controversy: The first session of the Legislative Assembly for the current year began on the 9th. When Governor RN Ravi addressed it, he omitted some parts. He read along with some other things. While this incident caused a commotion in the Assembly, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin expressed regret in this regard and brought a resolution to include the omissions in the Governor’s speech, to delete the newly read additions, and to include only the Tamil and English speeches printed by the government. The resolution was passed unanimously.
Later that day, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin held a consultation with legal experts, DMK legal department and senior lawyers. It was then decided to meet the President and complain about the governorship issue.
