The joint statement of deputies of the National Assembly “Armenia” faction Gegham Manukyan, Anna Grigoryan, Kristine Vardanyan and Artur Khachatryan:
“Today at the Foreign Ministry we got acquainted with Azerbaijan in 2024 on behalf of the Republic of Armenia. to the package of proposals sent on January 4.
We record that there is no significant movement in the negotiation process, and all the concerns we voiced after getting acquainted with the previous packages of proposals, related to not receiving any additional security guarantees from RA, fixing Azerbaijan’s achievements with the threat of force and force, imposing new concessions on RA with the threat of force , are preserved.
However, we consider the following circumstance remarkable. while familiarizing ourselves with the terms of the agreement, the MFA employees hinted to us that our efforts aimed at public awareness about the dangers of the negotiation process with Azerbaijan and the thesis of false peace have come to the attention of the relevant authorities, and the MFA is investigating the existence of circumstances for us to violate the non-disclosure clause of confidential information.
In fact, against the background of the daily threats of the President of Azerbaijan to RA and the Armenian people, the RA MFA is busy examining the interviews and public statements of the opposition MPs.
We announce that we consider this a direct threat and a step hindering parliamentary activity, at the same time we inform you that we will continue our activities aimed at raising public awareness about the most important agenda for our people.”
