My letter of comfort to the Gabonese evangelical movement, after the arrest of a pastor for questions related to morals.
Dear Christian Family,
Dear Members of the Clergy,
Our evangelical circles are proving to the Nation that Christians in a church can complain about their pastor before the judicial system, which is not often the case elsewhere. Indeed, acts of sexual harassment, rape, indecent assault and others exist in political, professional, religious, traditional, union, school and university, cultural, institutional and other environments, but the victims do not have always have the right to obtain redress in court.
We must continue to pray that our churches will become models of good conduct, and that all other environments will be transformed as well.
