“We vow to combat injustice, declares Rahul Gandhi in appeal”

During the parliamentary budget session, reporters asked Mallikarjun Kharge, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, about Rahul Gandhi’s appeal against the verdict of the Surat court. In response, Kharge stated that he cannot dispute the court’s decision but he can combat injustice. He accused the central government, which is facing issues with Adani, of unwillingness to establish a joint parliamentary committee inquiry and hence intentionally avoiding the meeting.

Reporters questioned Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, who visited Parliament to participate in the parliamentary budget session, about Rahul Gandhi’s appeal against the Surat court verdict. Responding to this, he said that he cannot argue on the court verdict, but he can fight against injustice. He alleged that the central government, which is embroiled in the Adani issue, does not want to set up a joint parliamentary committee inquiry and therefore deliberately plans not to hold the meeting.
