Weakened in 2023, La Banque Postale launches a savings plan

The year 2023 was difficult for La Banque Postale. Certainly, the subsidiary of the La Poste group, which has now fully integrated CNP Assurances, recorded a net profit of 995 million euros, up 36.5% over one year. But this performance is attributable to the good health of CNP Assurances, which generated a net profit of 1.55 billion euros in 2023 (up 65%). An amount one and a half times higher than that of the entire Postal Bank group. Who also received 2 billion euros in dividends from the insurer.

The year was complicated for the banking activities of the bancassurance group: they overall lost 321 million euros in 2023 (after a loss of 76 million euros in 2022).
