Wemade Connect to Develop Mobile Game Based on Kodansha’s “HUNDRED NOTE” IP

A new mobile game based on the popular Japanese mystery IP “Hundred Note” is in development, announced on February 9th. Wemade Connect will collaborate with Kodansha to bring the world of “Hundred Note” to life as a collectible idle role-playing game (RPG).

A Mysterious IP Gains New Life

“Hundred Note” has already captivated a global audience with its unique characters and intriguing storylines.

“Hundred Note,” released by Kodansha in May 2023, has quickly become a sensation, amassing 1.6 billion online cartoon clicks and attracting over 1.6 million subscribers to its official YouTube channel. The IP stands out with its distinctive world-building and a cast of 100 unique characters, brought to life through the work of renowned illustrators.

Wemade Connect’s RPG will be set in a near-future city grappling with rising crime rates and deteriorating public safety. Players will immerse themselves in the original world of “Hundred Note,” solving incidents alongside a diverse roster of characters. The game will blend investigation, combat, and collection elements, appealing to fans of feminine subculture aesthetics.

Li Haoda, the representative of Wemade Connect, stated, “Based on our past experience in Japanese game services, we have accumulated experience in the development and operation of local IP-based titles. We will reinterpret the charming characters and highly expandable ‘Hundred Note’ into a game and launch a work that lives up to the expectations of global users.”

The mobile game is scheduled for official launch in the fourth quarter of this year, beginning with a release in the Japanese market. Plans are in place to subsequently expand service availability to global markets, including South Korea.
