Dazzling Displays and Holiday Cheer
Kensico Dam plaza in Valhalla is hosting Westchester’s Winter Wonderland, a stunning light show running through December 31st. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on select dates, visitors can marvel at illuminated elves, angels, dancing trees, and a breathtaking 100-foot light tunnel. A 125-foot pixel wall displays scenes from the winter night sky, and the OtoCast App enhances the experience with magical stories about the displays. Admission is $35 per car. For a more intimate holiday experience, Lasdon Public Gardens and Veterans Memorial in Katonah presents the Holidays on the Hill Train Show. Read Wildlife sanctuary in Rye, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Meet near Playland Lake in the back of the main Playland parking lot before heading to the Sanctuary. Binoculars are recommended. This event is free, but registration is required. Additional birding opportunities are scheduled for February 27th and March 7th.
