Four-time world boxing champion Popó returned to the ring on Saturday night (23) and defeated businessman Guilherme Grillo, known as a ‘technology genius’, at the Danki Fight Show event, in Florianópolis. The fight lasted five and a half minutes, divided into three rounds. After the confrontation, Grillo went to social media and, in a post, showed what his face looked like.

During the fight, the businessman’s trainer had to throw in the towel in the ring when he saw Popó increase the pace of his strikes.

The world champion’s challenger is not a fighter and prepared for around eight months. “I’m not a boxer. I like to challenge myself and see how far I can go. The fight is internal,” he said during the week.

The dedication of the ‘technology genius’ earned a tribute from Popó while still in the ring.

“The champion here is Grillo, just because he trained, dedicated himself, put aside his study time to test himself. The real champion is not what we raise our arms to, it’s in words, in behavior, in training This is a champion’s belt, it’s yours”, said the fighter, upon handing over the belt as a gift.

The fighter also admitted that the pace was slower than in other fights. Against Bambam, for example, he won by knockout at 36 seconds.

“You have to hold back, take advantage of the moment, give the city the opportunity to see a fight like this. He [Grillo] He is courageous, brave.”

Grillo also used social media to “thank everyone.”

“It’s no surprise that the guy is a four-time boxing champion. It’s an honor to share the ring with him and especially to take a punch from him. He’s a tough hand, man (laughs). I’m not a fighter, I came in here because I like to challenge myself. I came in right here not thinking I was going to knock out Popó, but to inspire people, who can do whatever they want if they put their mind to it. Today was the icing on the cake for me to test myself. I completed my mission”, he said, after the fight.
