Chennai: Nalini, who met reporters in Chennai after her release, explained what Priyanka had said when she met her in jail.

Nalani, who was released from jail in the Rajiv murder case, met the media in Chennai today (November 13). Speaking then, he said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Central Government. Thank you to the people of Tamil Nadu who showered love on us. Every leader has done their best. Thank you to all of them.

Me and my husband Murugan have registered marriage. We are Indians. My husband has been in India for 32 years. So we requested the Supreme Court to give permission to stay with husband Murugan. But now he is in Trichy camp. Husband Murugan should be kept in the refugee camp along with his daughter.

Our daughter is eager to meet her father. I have no intention of going back to Sri Lanka. Husband Murugan should be kept in the refugee camp along with his daughter. Even though I was in prison, I was mentally with my husband and daughter. I always thought of them. I will personally meet all party leaders and thank them. We should pay tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedom.

At a time when we thought that we would be out of jail soon, the verdict of hanging came. Many times I have thought of ending my life as soon as the judgment comes. If we want to meet the Chief Minister, we will definitely meet him in person and thank him.

When Priyanka Gandhi visited me in jail, her father was moved by the trauma of his death. I am reluctant to meet Rajiv Gandhi’s family. I was charged and arrested only for going to the spot. But I was treated like a death row prisoner from the first day of my arrest. My wish was to abolish the death penalty for all.

The Prime Minister’s death was an unacceptable incident. I was not present at the scene of the PM blast. My deepest condolences to the affected families. I have never done anything wrong in my 32 years in prison. I completed 6 years of higher education with many obstacles while in prison.

Incarceration is the great university. I learned a lot of things. The prison guards were very happy for my release. Thanks to Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami for helping me in my release,” said Nalini.
