DECRYPTION – In nineteen months of conflict, Paris notably supplied thirty CAESAR cannons, several dozen armored vehicles and anti-aircraft defense systems to its Ukrainian ally.
530 million euros. This is the amount, according to the latest report of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, French military aid to Ukraine. A modest figure compared to the contribution of certain other partners of Kiev, the United States (42.11 billion), the United Kingdom (6.58 billion), Germany (17.1 billion) or Finland (1.22 billion) seeming much more generous. The criticism, which has become recurrent, is brushed aside by the Ministry of the Armed Forces which wishes to further highlight the “quality» from the arsenal provided. Paris, for example, delivered its famous CAESAR cannons to Ukraine – 30 examples. Added to this are several dozen armored vehicles, anti-aircraft defense systems, long-range Scalp missiles, two unit rocket launchers (LRU), etc.
