But India, the richest team, could not advance to the finals. The Indian team lost to Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup League match.
BCCI could not accept Pakistan’s progress like this. After this, many changes were made including the change in the selection committee of the Indian team and the removal of captain Virat Kohli.
