The directors of ARD meet regularly to update each other and talk about new projects. At their meeting this week in Bremen, it was also about clarifying the allegations against the RBB and the NDR. Shortly before, the newspaper publishers organized in the BDZV association had met in Berlin – and there, too, the topic was noticeably often about public broadcasting. But then there is also the economic situation in one’s own branch, and this is not rosy as a result of rising prices for paper and energy, rising costs for the delivery of printed newspapers and new developments in media policy.
