In a message published on the company’s website and in a short status published by the founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, it was said that in the coming months all Messenger users will receive new features for end-to-end encrypted conversations, which were until now only available in normal conversations – that is, those that are not protected and the parent company, Meta, can read them to match advertisements to users.

These are not revolutionary features: adjustment of the colors and backgrounds of the conversations, the profile pictures of group chats, the emojis and reactions shown to the user in the shortcut bar and do not require a search in the emoji pool, a preview of links and connection status (i.e. an indication of whether the user is connected or when was last connected) – which can be turned off.
