WhatsApp is introducing another technical innovation. Users who like to send pictures via the application can particularly look forward to this.
According to the blog “wabetainfo.com”, a website that reports on changes to WhatsApp, WhatsApp received an update on April 8th. The update has the number 7/24/75 and is initially only available for iOS users in the App Store.
This not only brings improvements, but also new functions. These include, among other things, an optimized video player and the ability to record video instant messages.
These changes are also neatly listed in the changelog. However, another innovation that could please many users is not listed there. Especially those who like to send pictures while chatting.
WhatsApp: Simplified navigation when sending images
The app now makes it possible to send pictures using the plus sign at the bottom left and then immediately jump to the phone’s picture gallery. Using this so-called shortcut, images can now be integrated into the respective chat more quickly.
According to the blog “wabetainfo.com” this hidden feature is available. “Although it is not mentioned in the official changelog on the App Store, we can confirm that WhatsApp is releasing a handy shortcut for quick access to the photo gallery.”
This simplified navigation should make sending images quicker. Previously, app users had to choose between several attachment options before being redirected to their image gallery.
Normally the update should install automatically. Users who have deactivated the automatic update function must therefore download the new feature manually.
