When is single window system to get building permit?

Chennai: It has been decided to issue planning permission through ‘online’ in a single-window system to reduce delays and get building permits quickly for the general public. This project has been started by CMDA, Chennai Metropolitan Development Corporation.

Following this, the Tamil Nadu government ordered to start this scheme in DTCP. For this, a new website named onlineppa.tn.gov.in has been set up. City planning experts said: Due to a technical glitch in the new website, there has been a delay in making it operational.

Due to this, people are suffering because they are not able to submit applications in the single-window system. Due to this, they have to wait up to six months for building permission after applying in the old system. Government should intervene and take action. Thus they said.
