When the rabbis of the communities gathered for an emergency conference following the situation of the mikvahs

by time news

The rabbis of the holy communities participated in four emergency gatherings held by the Family Purity to discuss and raise awareness about the state of mikvah in Israel | At the conventions held in Bnei Brak, Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh and Modi’in Illit, the family purity organization presented the alarming picture of the situation in its entirety

In a series of emergency conferences held in recent weeks, the heads and rabbis of the family purity organization presented to the rabbis of the communities, a grim picture of the dozens of mikvahs in Israel that do not conform to the requirements of Halacha, which could cause serious obstacles in the purity of Israel.

The heads of the family purity presented the startling findings that include testimony from inspectors of the mikvah kosher committee and visual images of mikvahs, some of which have questionable kosher and some of which have many questions that raise serious concerns regarding the kosher of the mikvah and baptism. In other places there are questions related to the manner of conduct in mikvahs and regarding adherence to all the provisions of the Halacha.

About a month ago, the first of the four gatherings took place, it was held with the participation of the rabbis of the communities in the city of Beit Shemesh and was held at the residence of Rabbi Natan HaCohen Kupshitz. After that, there was a meeting of the neighborhood rabbis in the city of Modi’in Illit and it was held at the residence of the rabbi of the city, Rabbi Meir Kessler. About two weeks ago, a conference was held at the Ministry of Family Purity in Jerusalem, in which many of the rabbis of Jerusalem took part.

Throughout the dozens of years of the organization’s existence, the Shovbim period that begins with Parshah Shemot and ends with Parshah Mishtim is dedicated to this important subject, which is like mountains hanging by its hair, and following all the instructions of the Halacha requires vigilance and special expertise.

Throughout the year, the rabbinic teams of the family purity conduct inspections of mikvahs throughout the country, locate halachic deficiencies, and make repairs on a regular basis. Every year the field teams of Taherat Family inspect about 700 mikvahs and this after a thorough mapping of all the mikvahs of tahrah in Israel and systematic work with the aim of insisting that the purity of Israel is maintained according to its law. In every mikveh where a defect is found, a team of professionals, closely accompanied by the rabbis, enters to make the necessary repairs.

The rabbis of the communities were presented with the extensive work of the inspecting rabbis who work for the purity of the people of Israel and asked to strengthen the hands of the teams that travel hundreds of thousands of kilometers every year from Eilat to Metula and inspect mikve after mikve, in a thorough and professional manner, correcting the requested tikkun, and solving various problems that are discovered as part of the inspections .

In recent years, due to the scope of the Rachel’s problems, a special family purity information line has been established, where you can receive detailed information about the kosher mikvahs that the rabbis of the organization have thoroughly verified that they comply with all the rules of the Halacha handed down to us from generation to generation in the compilation and kosher that is consumed.
