Tamilnadu Civil Service Commission conducts various examinations every year to fill the vacancies for various departments. In this case, the Examination Board has conducted the Written Examination of Combined Dependent Assignments IV (Volume IV) on 24.07.2022.
22,02,942 applications were received for this examination out of which 18,36,535 candidates participated in the examination. Compared to the Indian level, the exam was conducted with the largest number of candidates among the exams conducted by all the examination boards.
Group-4 examination was held on July 24 last year to fill up 9,870 vacancies in various posts including village administrative officer, junior assistant in Tamil Nadu government departments. A total of 18 lakh 36,535 candidates appeared for the exam. TNPSC had already announced that the exam results will be released in June.
But the results are not out even after many months of the exam. Therefore, various parties insisted that the TNPSC should announce the results of Group-4 examination quickly. In this case, TNPSC announced last February that the Group-4 exam results will be published in March. However, the exam results have not been released till now.

Due to the two-part integrated answer sheet system introduced by the examination board in order to avoid any mistakes, the work of scanning both the parts of the answer sheets twice, and then identifying the errors made by the candidate in the answer sheets through the computer and confirming them through direct verification by the officials, requires excessive time.
About 16 types of errors made by the examinees against the instructions in the answer sheets have to be checked, they said. Meanwhile, the High Court ordered that due process should be followed in the reservation rules for women in government jobs.
As more time was needed to implement the order, the TNPSC announced that the Group-IV exam results would be released in December. Later, it was announced that the exam results will be published in the 2nd week of February in the annual timetable of the Civil Service Examination Board.
The number of candidates this time is more than last 5 years. The number of OMR answer sheets is more than 36 lakhs. It has been said that the Group 4 exam results will be released by the end of this month.
