Today Azerbaijan celebrates the Novruz holiday.
İdman.biz conducted a survey about where and how the sports community will celebrate the holiday.
Many of them will be celebrating Nowruz with their families, some will be training or taking part in competitions.
Shahin Diniev (head coach of “Sabail”): “I’ll celebrate the holiday at home with my family.”
Adil Shukurov (head coach of Kapaz): “During the Holy Ramadan, I will train with the team in Ganja.”
Magomed Abdullaev (boxer): “I will spend time at home and in training with my teammates.”
Vurgun Huseynov (captain of “Kyapaz”): “I will celebrate the Nowruz holiday in Tovuz, where I grew up and graduated from school. Because the people who are dearest and closest to me are there.”
Sanan Suleymanov (wrestler): “I’ll be at the training camp.”
Turan Bayramov (judoka): “Since I will be performing in Georgia at this time, I will celebrate there”
Khasrat Jafarov (wrestler): “I’ll be at training these days, and I’ll celebrate there.”

Novruz usually coincided with the Grand Slam tournament in Tbilisi, and I lost weight. So I couldn’t eat shekerbura or baklava. My family always gave me sweets after the tournament.
