This year the festival includes huge shows by the biggest rockers in Israel, acoustic shows by Israel’s favorite female musicians, exciting tribute shows, and of course free shows into the night that have already become a tradition. One by one they will sweep the audience into a weekend full of sun, beer and rock’n’roll as usual.

The festival will open on Thursday (March 23) with a festive opening show that includes three performances: Avitar Banai hosts Erez Lev Ari, Dodo Tessa hosts Haim Romano and Bari Sakharof hosts Guy Mezig.

In his performance, Avitar Banai will perform songs from all albums and from all times. On stage he will host Erez Lev Ari, one of the most respected artists and creators in Israel, who released four solo albums and was part of countless collaborations.

Dodo Tessa comes to the festival with the songs from his new album alongside his old repertoire. In the show he will host Haim Romano, one of the greatest guitar heroes of all time, who accompanied the best artists in Israel on guitar and bouzouki.

The prince of Israeli rock and roll Barry Sakharoff comes to the guitar festival with his fan of guitars: prismatic, electrifying, delightful and connected to Sakharoff’s range of influences, from the poetry to the electronic sounds that adorn his beloved hits. In the show he hosts the black bass and groove powerhouse – the king of punk Guy Mazig.

The next day, on Friday (March 24), the celebration continues with an afternoon punk rock show, and again this time there will be three shows on one ticket: Assaf Amdorski, “Mercedes Band” and “Tislam”.

Assaf Amdorski comes to the festival armed with a guitar and his favorite hits. The electronic instruments, the mesmerizing rhythm, and the electrifying atmosphere made Amdorski’s performances groundbreaking.

“Mercedes Band”, the wild group that has already set fire to every stage in Israel with its bursting energy, is coming to the guitar festival in Eilat and will perform all the hits, including “Davens”, “The Lingerie Department”, “Tell me the”, “Come and bring you the punk “, and more.

Since “Radio Hizq”, the debut album of “Tislam” released in the early 80’s and stunned the music industry in Israel, the band maintains the stage energy, the musical production and the cheeky performance. Thanks to the huge hits, they conquered every possible peak, developed successful solo careers, broke up and returned to the stages throughout the country, and now they also come to the guitar festival.

On Friday evening, Shalom Hanoch and Matti Kaspi will take the stage in the joint show “The main thing is the songs”: an extraordinary and timeless show, musically produced by Hanoch and Kaspi and accompanied by five elite musicians. Throughout the show, the two perform together and separately their beautiful and classic songs, in a show that is the essence of the Israeli soundtrack.

On Friday night, five minutes before midnight, the show “Taking Time” – a tribute show to Yitzhak Klepter – will take the stage. Special guest: Hami Rodner. Clifter, one of the pioneers of Israeli rock and the most prominent creators in it, was the greatest of Israeli guitarists. The “Taking Time” tribute show provides nostalgic pleasure for Clifter’s songs and his wonderful guitar playing. Hami Rodner will give the performance a rock’n’roll flavor.

The show includes songs that Clifter wrote for others such as “Beehive”, “Tsilil Ma’im’in”, “The 16th Lamb”, Arik Einstein, Gidi Gov, Gali Atari, Yael Levy, Yigal Bashan and Arik Sinai. Along with them, songs from his solo albums will be performed: “She is so beautiful”, “A deliberate sound”, “Takes time”, “My love”, “Free imagination”, “Bedouin love song”, “Sitting on the fence”, “Ballad” To the naïve”, and more.

Clifter accompanied and guided the show’s musicians during rehearsals and was even present at the premiere in 2021. He was happy that his songs are back on stage again, in their original and authentic version, but at the same time embellished with new arrangements and up-to-date sound.

The last day of the festival (March 25) will open with a morning show by Dana Berger, the princess of Israeli rock who takes the stage in an intimate and exciting acoustic show with her best favorite songs: “Love”, “Learning to Fly”, “To the End”, “Passing Warmth”, ” Send me peace”, “Waiting for him”, and more.

Also appearing at the festival will be: Yuval Dayan and Yael Deckelbaum who will perform at the Jasper 08 bar on Friday at noon and Lazer Lloyd who will perform on Thursday night, also at Jasper 08. Also, after the big shows, free midnight shows will be held at the bar into the night.

The artistic director of the festival, Roni Huss: “Exciting peaks, unplanned surprising moments, and rare and unusual connections that have never existed before are expected for all of us.”

The Isrotel chain is the festival’s official tourism partner and markets accommodation packages that include entrance tickets to the entire festival.
