Protests were held against BJP’s Nubur Sharma in various areas due to his controversial comment on the Prophet Muhammad in a televised debate. While he has been suspended from the BJP, cases have been filed in various courts. The Supreme Court had said that Nubur Sharma should apologize in public.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray has come forward in support of Nupur Sharma. He spoke at the party meeting held in Mumbai
When Nubur Sharma spoke about (Prophet Muhammad), he was asked to apologize publicly. Akbaruddin Owaisi (party leader of India Majlik e Ittihad ul Muslim) his brother Zakir Naik. Anyone can watch Zakir Naik’s interview and he said the same thing. But no one said he should apologise.
Why were they not prosecuted at the Indian level for their comments about Hindu gods? . Those two Owaisi brothers talk bad about our (Hindu) Gods and give bad names to our Gods. Are our gods vile? Nobody is going to ask him to apologize for this. This is what Raj Thackeray has said.
