The deployment of mobile services has had as its main impact the diffusion of digital coverage on the continent, particularly within financial transactions and commerce. It should be noted that today there are more than 480 million mobile payment accounts, more than in all the other developing regions combined. This helps in speeding up the exchange of goods or services across countries through fast and secure transactions.
