Actor Will Arnett admits his candid remarks on the SmartLess
podcast frequently land him in trouble, offering a rare look at his relationship with 28-year-old heiress Emma Marciano and the difficulty of speaking without a filter on air.
Will Arnett is finding that his trademark candor on the SmartLess
podcast does not always work in his favor. The 56-year-old comedian has co-hosted the show with Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes since 2020.
Arnett recently admitted that his unfiltered remarks occasionally generate headlines that misrepresent his original intentions. He noted that trying to resist the urge to say everything and remaining careful about public opinions on the air is a constant challenge because he always ends up saying things anyway.
Arnett Confirms Romance With Emma Marciano
Emma Marciano is an heiress to the Guess fashion brand and the daughter of co-founder Maurice Marciano. Marciano also co-founded the Los Angeles fashion label Mimchik with Mia Kazovsky in 2022.
Arnett offered a candid update on his relationship with Marciano during the podcast. Modezone noted that the actor sounded cautiously content after his relationship with the model Carolyn Murphy concluded earlier in the year.

Jason Bateman pressed Arnett during the episode to ask where he envisioned the relationship in five years. Arnett reined in the speculation, explaining that he has learned to let go of rigid expectations after dealing with numerous unexpected situations and curveballs over the past two years.
If I [expletive] knew. I am now 56. I have learned a little bit in the last two years, especially to let go of whatever ideas that I think it’s going to go; it’s going to happen. I’m in the place now where I’m really trying my best to just deal with what’s in front of me.

Tensions Rise Over Past Marriages
Arnett snapped at Bateman in a June episode after his co-host posed an intimate question about his past marriage to Amy Poehler. Arnett and Poehler were married from 2003 to 2016 and share two sons, Archie, 17, and Abel, 16.
Arnett also shares a six-year-old son named Alexander, known as Denny, with former partner Alessandra Brawn. Confronted with personal inquiries on air, Arnett previously questioned the motives behind such probing questions on the podcast.
Despite occasional on-air friction, Arnett maintains a cordial relationship with Poehler.
