Ibadat was injured in the Afghanistan series in July last year. Knee surgery at the end of August. Could not play 2023 ODI World Cup held in India. Which was termed as a big loss by the captain Shakib Al Hasan. Then the T20 World Cup also went. But the worship did not return.

‘Of course regret. I am out of the game for 13 months. I got such an injury, it took a long time to recover. Being out as a player is very difficult. It doesn’t seem like it will take long to heal. i will play too I will try to do well’ – Ibadat also said that he regrets not being able to return to the field.

Ibadat is still not bowling with 100%, ‘I am following the program given by physio, trainer and fast bowling coach. Still not given permission to bowl with 100% effort. I’m working at about 70-80% effort.’

“If the fitness improves like that, if the management is satisfied, if they play there, then I play. If not, then we have domestic cricket, we will play it’-Ibadat added.

Bangladesh will leave Dhaka for India on September 15. The series will start from September 19. Nazmul Hossain Shantar’s team will play two Test and 3 T20 match series in this tour.

This Sylhet pacer has played 20 Tests, 12 ODIs and 4 T20Is for Bangladesh so far. He took 42, 22 and 7 wickets respectively. He made an important contribution to the historic Test win with Fifer on New Zealand soil.
