This new production site, whose launch ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of public policies, Mohcine Jazouli, of the Wali of the region of Oriental, Mouaad Jamai, governors of the provinces of Nador and Driouch, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco, Li Changlin, the CEO of Aeolon, Hu Wenlong, the vice-president of the region’s council, of the CEO of AMDIE, and other public and private actors, reinforces the place of Oriental in the dynamic of private investment in the Kingdom.

Located in the industrial acceleration zone near the port of Nador West Med (NWM) on a land of 50 hectares, the construction of the factory, which will be operational by January 2025, required an investment of 220 million euros, and will create 3,300 jobs in the region and thus contribute to the economic development of Nador and the national energy industrial ecosystem.

Aeolon’s factory in Nador will be equipped with the most advanced technologies to meet the growing needs of the wind industry around the world. Through this strategic expansion, Aeolon will strengthen its position as a global leader in wind blade manufacturing, while contributing to the energy transition towards clean energy sources and thereby creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Jazouli highlighted the fruitful partnership between China and Morocco, indicating that this significant investment will contribute to improving the business climate in our country capable of attracting more projects. , particularly in the Oriental region.

For his part, Aeolon CEO Hu Wenlong indicated that the start of Aeolon’s production activities outside China is an important step in the pursuit of operational excellence and improving the competitiveness of the company. ‘business.

“Morocco was chosen as the location for this new factory due to several determining factors, the remarkable political and economic stability, allowing Aeolon to fully concentrate on its production activities,” he said in a press statement, adding that the Kingdom has a highly skilled and young workforce, further strengthening the competitiveness of the company.

For his part, Mr. Changlin focused on the friendly relations linking the two countries, which have deepened since the visit of HM King Mohammed VI to China in 2016, noting that this state visit which It is united by the signing of several conventions, reflecting the determination of Rabat and Beijing to establish their cooperation as a strategic partnership.

In the process, the minister and the delegation accompanying him went to the Nador West Med port to inquire about the progress of work related to the Aeolon project.

The Aeolon investment project is one of the first projects to have been approved by the National Investment Commission, established by the new investment charter, operational since March 2023.
