Winners Announced for the 2023 Biggest Little City Wing Fest in Reno

Wing Master emerges victorious in the ninth annual Biggest Little City Wing Fest in Reno, taking home the top accolade for People’s Choice. Meanwhile, Maui Jane’s Hawaiian BBQ secures the Celebrity’s Choice award, adding to their list of accomplishments.

This year’s Wing Fest showcased a total of 19 participants, vying for recognition in five distinct categories: People’s Choice, Celebrity’s Choice, Best BBQ Wing, Best Dry Rub Wing, and Best Unique Wing. Traditional flavors like Buffalo and barbecue wings as well as unconventional options like strawberry cheesecake and salted caramel wings were available for attendees to savor.

Expectations were high, as the event anticipated serving over 20,000 pounds of wings across the two-day festival. The Reno Gazette Journal also joined the festivities, participating in the Celebrity’s Choice contest where they sampled all 19 wings on display.

The Row, host of the Biggest Little City Wing Fest, proudly presents this year’s winners in each category. For the 2023 People’s Choice award, Wing Master claims the top spot, followed by Paulie’s in second place and Slater’s Ding-a-Wing in third.

On the other hand, Maui Jane’s Hawaiian BBQ clinches the 2023 Celebrities’ Choice award, with Aloha Shack in second place and Git-R-Smoked in third.

In the Best BBQ Wing category, Slater’s Ding-a-Wing takes home the gold, while On-Street Concessions and Git-R-Smoked secure second and third place, respectively.

The Best Dry Rub Wing title goes to Club Cal Nevada, followed by Royal Wings in second place and Fury Hot Wings in third.

Lastly, in the Best Unique Wing category, Paulie’s steals the show, with Maui Jane’s Hawaiian BBQ securing second place and Boulevard coming in third.

The Biggest Little City Wing Fest has once again highlighted Reno’s vibrant culinary scene, showcasing the creativity and dedication of its participants. Wing Master and Maui Jane’s Hawaiian BBQ can proudly wear their crowns for the next year, having triumphed in this highly competitive festival.
