With 20 to 50% MIR will finance innovation implementation projects-Agro Plovdiv

Ministry of Innovation and Growth (WORLD) open for applications procedure for implementation of innovations in Bulgarian companies with a budget of BGN 293.4 million. This is the first measure under the new program “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” (PCIP), which has a budget of nearly BGN 3 billion for the current period until 2027.

Micro, small, medium-sized companies and companies with up to 499 employees from various economic sectors can apply under the procedure. The minimum amount of the grant will be BGN 50,000, and the maximum amount will be differentiated according to the size of the companies. Micro- and small enterprises will be able to apply for up to BGN 500,000, and medium-sized companies and companies with up to 499 employees – for BGN 800,000. Co-financing will be from 20% to 50% depending on the selected aid regime, the category of the enterprise and the location of the project.

Projects must be related to the implementation of innovation in one of the five thematic areas of the Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization – “Informatics and ICT”, “Mechatronics and microelectronics”, “Healthy living industry, bioeconomy and biotechnology”, “New technologies in creative and recreational industries’ and ‘Clean technologies, circular and low-carbon economy’.

The funds will finance the implementation of product innovations (goods or services) or innovations in business processes through the acquisition of durable tangible and intangible assets. The costs of consulting and support services for innovation such as protection of industrial property rights, provision of access to databases and libraries, provision of services from laboratories for conducting research, measurements and tests will be covered.
