The Ministry of Agriculture announced today, Friday, that it will soon announce loans for farmers and cultivators, while indicating that the interest rate is 2 percent.
The ministry’s spokesman, Mohammed Al-Khazaali, told the (INA): “The ministry is seeking to launch loans for farmers and cultivators from the Agricultural Bank through the ministry’s special allocations,” noting that “there are agricultural loans from the Agricultural Bank through the Central Bank’s initiative, but the interest rate on them is relatively high.”
He explained that “the Ministry of Agriculture is seeking to revive these loans within its allocations,” noting that “the profit rate on marginal loans is 2 percent and is not cumulative.”
He added, “It is hoped that these loans will be announced in the coming period.”
