This Saturday morning, São Paulo beat Guarani in matches valid for the Campeonato Paulista Sub-15 and Sub-17. Tricolor surpassed the rival by 5 to 0 in the children’s category, goals scored by Augusto (3), Tiago and Paulo, and by 2 to 0 in the youth category – Rhaul and Vitor Torezan scored.
The Sub-15 had a great game and got a rout, built especially in the second half. In the initial stage, Augusto scored in the 29th minute. After the break, the goals came out wholesale. Augusto (24min), Tiago (25min) and Paulo (27min) increased the scoreboard. And again the scorer Augusto, at 34, scored the fifth goal. The children’s team has eight wins and four draws in the competition.
The Under-17 team, on the other hand, entered a different field: coach Allan Barcellos did not use maximum strength, as the category competes simultaneously in the Brazilian Championship. The boys responded well, and in the first half they already scored two goals in two aerial plays – Rhaul and Vitor Torezan completed with a header. Tricolor remains undefeated in the State, now with ten wins and two draws, and already guarantees qualification for the next stage of the tournament.
After this round, the competition will take a break and will return only on August 5th, when the tricolors go to Campinas to face Ponte Preta. In that time, the Sub-15 rests while the Sub-17 focuses on the Brazilian Championship. The youth team plays next Wednesday (19), at 3 pm, against Bahia, in Cotia.
